Benjamin Anderson
Catch up with painter/sculptor Benjamin Anderson of Carpinteria. His contemporary approach to encaustic portraiture was first seen in 2011 in The Brothers Anderson Carnegie Art Museum Oxnard exhibit with a reception, supported by Carnegie Art Cornerstones. Additional showings of paintings of submerged toys and objects followed from his”Bikini”series and “Just Add Water” series, and an encaustic portrait joined the Museum ‘s permanent collection.

Today Anderson has rocketed his early training in Florence, Italy and at the San Francisco Academy of Art into a savvy, siren’s call art that explores all things water, nature and our human absorption of them. His contempo-classic painting techniques continue to spiral with new approaches and inclusions, like additions of LED lighting. Soon to show at Art Miami (Way to go, Ben!), Benjamin Anderson is an artist to follow. info@benjaminanderson.com |

Linda Arreola
Linda Arreola latest works were recently shown through July 30th at Avenue 50 Studio in Los Angeles in Abstract Wanderings From the LA Borderlands: 2020 -2023. Arreola’s striking and thought-infused, geometric paintings appeared at the Carnegie Art Museum in her 2017 exhibit The Avalanche and The Silence. Arreola’s work is also in the Museum’s permanent collection.
The Artist’s Avenue 50 exhibit presented work created from 2020 to 2023 during an intense period of introspection when contact with the outside world was reduced to social media and television news. A remarkably formative exhibit showed art wrung out of that time’s grappling challenges which now has taken her work in a new direction.
